On Sunday May 13/26, His Eminence visited the parish of Saint Isidore of Chios to celebrate the feast day of the Saint together with the parishioners, accompanied by His Grace, Bishop Maximos and Priestmonk Benedict. His Eminence delivered a sermon on the Gospel reading of the day, stressing that Christians never say “that’s just the way I am” but ever work towards the goal of sanctification through repentance. The Christian is works until his last breath to become a better person (which means a better Christian), since we are not ourselves if we are separated from God.
After the service of the Divine Liturgy and the procession with the icon and relics both of Saint Isidore and Saint Photini (The Samaritan Woman), a festive meal was served for the faithful.
